Kalyan and what its future holds

In the last decade, Kalyan has made swift and steady growth. This is mainly due to the ascending residential demand. People who cannot imagine buying homes in Mumbai due to exorbitant prices have chosen Kalyan as their paradise. Kalyan has thus risen as an ideal option for affordable housing, a better lifestyle, and good connectivity.

Kalyan is already shortlisted among the 100 smart cities to be developed in India. Thus, it ensures a further of overall development which would further raise the standard of life for people there. There are numerous infrastructural projects underway in and around Kalyan, thus making it the most promising real estate destination in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The upcoming Metro Line no. 5 that would run from Kalyan to Bhiwandi and Thane which is set for completion by the year 2021 has increased the demand for housing in the Kalyan-Dombivali region. MMRDA intends to lay down road networks which will include a 29 km Kalyan ring road in the region. The proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport is at a distance of approximately 35 kms. The highway connecting Thane to Kalyan will witness better connectivity due to ongoing projects on key flyovers as well as the additional bridge on Durgadi Chowk, hence reducing the travel time to just 30 minutes.

The Kalyan-Dombivli stretch comes under the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and forms a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The twin city has a large industrial belt to its south-east from Kalyan to Badlapur. There are many small and large industries present in this region. Thus, it offers the opportunity to work and live in the vicinity. Kalyan and Dombivli have very good connectivity to various parts of Mumbai and other cities via the Kalyan-Shilphata Road, Agra Road and National Highway 4.

Hence, it is safe to say that Kalyan has already transformed into the next big real estate destination with developers announcing flagship real estate projects.
